About the Author
Sharie Spironhi is a public speaker, educator, counselor, trainer, and author, who has been teaching people about human behavior since 1986.
At the top of her field as a motivational speaker, addiction specialist, and coproducer of the David Toma show, Spironhi’s world suddenly fell apart when she was diagnosed with rapid-cycling bipolar depression. For the next six years, her journey in and out of hospitals left her tired and hopeless. But in 1996, just before giving up, she was miraculously healed of all mood swings and the bi-polar disorder disappeared. Her profound experience propelled her to discover how this could happen and if there was any scientific explanation for it. That year, neuroplasticity was confirmed, proving that the brain can change and heal itself.
Spironhi has a gift for explaining technical scientific details and getting to the heart of what holds people back from the changes they desire. She works year round doing workshops, one-on-one sessions, and speaking engagements.

Get ready to leave anxiety behind without popping pills.

The trouble with many self-help books is that they are great at diagnosing and describing a problem, but tend to be short on solutions. That is not the case with this book. If you struggle with anxiety, panic attacks, or even just tend to worry too much, this book will do two things for you: first it will teach you the science behind anxiety and worry in a light and comprehensible way. Using your brain to change your mind

If you've ever wondered about how your brain works separate from your mind, try walking on to an escalator that is not working. Even though you know clearly that the escalator is not moving, the second you step onto it your brain anticipates the usual movement when getting on an escalator and there is a few seconds where your brain adjusts the body for an escalator ride--even though you see and know it is off. My point? Our brain has SO much going on behind the scenes that influences our feelings, thoughts and behaviors. Spironhi explains the brain and it's bias so well and you understand why certain feelings/reactions occur and then get tools on how to step in, apply a new way of thinking and become happier.
